Netflix introduces a new feature on iOS devices to smartly manage the offline viewing and download of episodess. The “smart downloads” feature, will automatically delete a downloaded episode after you have finished watching. Also it will automatically download the next episode for you — but only when you’re connected to Wi-Fi.
This will ease the tedious work of managing downloads and deleting those that user have watched, meaning the app can manage the downloads for you. so you can spend more time watching Netflix shows without the worry of data space management.
